You need something crisp and refreshing, yet with enough kick to remind you that summer weekend celebrations are about letting loose, relaxing, and having fun with family and friends. Rest easy friend, we have this covered for you. Fruity and sweet, the raspberry tropic is sure to be the hit of any weekend this summer.
For the kids or other mocktail enthusiasts, simply swap the vodka for lemonade, and skip the sous-vide cooking. Just make sure to keep the two batches separated! We recommend that everyone enjoys this one in a fun setting, like your backyard or by a pool, with a side of sunshine for good measure.

Prep time: 10 minutes
Sous vide time: 2 Hours
Serves: 4 People
- 1 1/3 cup vodka
- 1 lime
- 1 small orange
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Gently mash raspberries and sugar together in plastic bag
- Cut zest of lime and orange into small pieces and add to bag
- Juice lime and orange and add to vodka
- Add vodka to bag and mix together gently
- Place bag in 57C sous vide water bath for 2 hours
- Stir ingredients 1 hour into sous vide process
- Strain and cool before serving
- Serve with ice and soda water
Nom tip: To beat the heat put glasses in the freezer ten minutes before serving. Nothing beats the summer heat like a glass that’s cool to the touch and chilly on the lips. And don’t forget to garnish with a lemon twist or stir stick of berries. Appearance is everything!
