Sous vide eggs with caviar and heart-shaped cookies win big on Valentine's Day.

Romantic Sous Vide Eggs Win Big

Thank you to everyone who entered our recent Valentine’s Day Recipe Contest! We received so many excellent submissions, and it was very tough choosing the winner.

But in the end, Slo-Simmered Symbols of Seduction won our hearts (and our tastebuds)! It was submitted by Nomiku community member, Thierry Castro, and includes sous vide eggs, caviar, and heart-shaped cookies. This recipe is perfect for any romantic occasion, such as Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, and special date nights.

When you sous vide eggs, there's no need to put them in a heat-safe bag.

Serves: 2 people
Time: 1 hour sous vide

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. caviar
  • 3 heart-shaped cookies
  • A few leaves micro-greens for garnish

Almost time to take out the sous vide eggs.

  1. Pre-heat bath water to 65°C
  2. Place eggs in heated bath for 60 minutes
  3. Remove from bath, then let it sit until handleable
  4. Gently crack wide end of egg and peel away enough shell to slip egg out into small bowl
  5. Pour off excess very loose white, then pour egg onto plate
  6. Repeat for second egg
  7. Spoon 1 tbs. caviar on or near egg
  8. Garnish with a few leaves of micro-greens and heart-shaped cookies (e.g. palmiers)
  9. Serve with a kiss!

Get the texture and temperature just right with sous vide eggs.
