Easy Eggs and Cheesy Grits with Sharp Cheddar

One of the reasons Nomiku Sous Chefs Meals were created a la carte, is to give you the option to mix and match flavors—that includes matching items from our program with food in your fridge or pantry to hack your own delicious meal creations. We’d like to share some of the fun ideas and creations that are shared with us.

This first one comes from a member of our own team. Michelle leads our marketing efforts here at Nomiku, and a professed non-chef foodie. While she doesn’t quite burn water, a busy lifestyle makes it difficult to cook as often or eat as healthily as she’d like. Michelle is loving the healthy convenience of the Sous Chef Meals program, especially when her husband is traveling and she’s cooking for one. On his last trip, she came up with this delicious trick and enjoyed a savory breakfast outside with less effort than making toast!

 

MICHELLE’S TIP:

Drop a whole egg (in its shell) in the water bath when you tap your Cheesy Grits with Sharp Cheddar. With no extra thought or effort, you’ll get a perfectly poached egg yolk to enjoy for a savory breakfast treat. It’s all ready together in just 30 minutes. Simply scoop the yolk out of the egg whites and place on top of your grits. Yum!
