Planning a Mother’s Day Culinary Experience
With Mother’s Day just around the corner on Sunday, May 14th, it’s time to get that menu ready to treat your mother to something special. Whether you plan to deliver her a tempting breakfast in bed, create a refreshing brunch, or wine and dine her with a gourmet dinner, we’ve got the recipes you’ll need to make that restaurant-style meal at home. No need to book weeks in advance or overpay when you can create a great experience at home for the woman who does everything for you.
Breakfast in Bed
The Spicy Sausage Sous Vide Strata offers a zingy mason jar meal that Mom will be sure to enjoy from bed. You can even use that french bread loaf leftover from the previous evening’s dinner. Bringing together the eggs, onion, fennel, bread, and bits of that spicy Italian sausage make for a delicious start to Mother’s Day festivities.
Brunch on the Porch
Amaze Mom with your exceptional culinary skills with Chef Jacque La Merde’s Soigne Beef on Toast. This incredible creation is toast (homemade hash browns) that have been combined with eggs, pastrami, and Hollandaise sauce. It’s creamy, crispy, and oh so delicious. Topped with cocktail onions, bread and butter pickle coins, celery leaves and edible gold leaf (wow!). This brunch delight will leave Mom floored. She may never cook again if you delivery this type of culinary masterpiece.
Rack of Lamb – Need We Say More?
Bring the family together to celebrate Mom and cook her the ever so gourmet, Rack of Lamb. Not to show Mom up, but this delectable delicatessen will illustrate your elevated cooking skills. (that she most likely played a role in encouraging) This recipe couldn’t be simpler, combining lamb, rosemary and butter. Cook the meat for two hours to hold that juicy flavor in and toast with a blowtorch to give it a scrumptious browning. Open a great bottle of Merlot and dinner is served.
Polish off Mom’s culinary journey with Strawberry Pots Du Crème with citrus whipped cream. It’s a delicious and refreshing way to cap your ode to Mom.
